Dress Code

A HIGH STANDARD OF DRESS IS EXPECTED ON THE COURSE, IN AND AROUND THE CLUBHOUSE, AT ALL TIMES

ON THE COURSE:

Tailor-made shorts, no lower than the knee, with knee length or sports socks, preferably white. Sports shirts must have collars. Trousers/slacks must not be tucked into socks. Shirts must be tucked into trousers or shorts. Denim Jeans, trainers, shell suits and collarless shirts are not allowed.

CLUBHOUSE:

Clothing  must be of smart appearance. Smart denim jeans and clean trainers are allowed; work clothes or torn jeans are not permitted.
Tailor-made shorts with socks, as above and appropriate footwear, are permitted in the clubhouse at any time with the exception of the presentation evenings (see below.)

CLOTHING NOT PERMITTED:

Track or shell suits, T-shirts with no collar or sleeves, waterproofs or working clothes.

On competition presentation evenings, the considered appropriate dress wear is collar and tie; however, this may be amended at the discretion of the Club Captain.

It will be the responsibility of Club Members to make sure that all signed-in guests and golfing players in his or her company are properly attired in accordance with club rules.

Members are reminded that, when guests are signed in for a round of golf, it must be done in accordance with club rules, and the guest must play with the member.

Filey Golf Club is a member of the Association of James Braid Courses. Members of these courses can enjoy a reduced Green Fee rate by booking through the Golf Shop or Office (01723 513293 – Option 2 or Option 4.)
