If you are a golfer and have moved to the area or wish to take up the wonderful game of golf for the first time, we hope the following information will give you an insight into what our club and Ladies’ Section has to offer.
We are lucky at Filey as we can boast 27 holes of golf set on the spectacular North East coastline plus a large and comprehensive practice area. The main 18-hole course with far-reaching sea views on the outward and homeward holes is not only golf friendly but is also testing for the better players. The 9-hole Academy course of par 3 and 4 holes is the perfect place to improve your short game.
Our club enjoys the facilities of a newly built clubhouse, the upper floor with its views of the sea and coastline houses an excellent restaurant, bar and comfortable lounge area.
We are an active and friendly ladies’ section; we meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a varied programme of competitions and fun, social golf. Medal and Stableford competitions are also held each month on the 18-hole course that can be used towards your handicap. We have A and B teams playing in the YLCGA league.
During the Winter, ladies have the opportunity to play in the Yorkshire Ladies’ Winter Golf Association Alliance and the Coastal Alliance which enables us to play many of the local courses.
Filey Ladies’ Section always welcomes new playing members and beginners and we invite you to visit Filey Golf Club and to see what our golfing gem on the North East coast has to offer you……please call us and we will do our very best to encourage and support you in joining our active and friendly Ladies’ Section.
